Talent challenges as experienced by Quebec companies
The world of work has undergone profound changes in recent years (mass resignations, democratization of teleworking or hybrid working, etc.). All these changes contribute to the unpredictability of main movements and a great need for adaptation. Companies are not spared, but how are they responding to these changes?
With a view to better equipping the ecosystem to support entrepreneurs, main wanted to better understand how talent issues affect companies.

Targeted study on the startup ecosystem in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean (SLSJ)
The objective of this targeted study is to increase knowledge about the needs of entrepreneurs and the relationship between support structures in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region, where the entrepreneurial ecosystem is booming.
This study was conducted in collaboration with Ubisoft, the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean hub, and some twenty economic development stakeholders in the region.

As a detailed follow-up to the overview report, Incursion presents a summary of the results of nine academic research projects coordinated by main.
The findings from these qualitative and quantitative studies, conducted between 2020 and 2021, are presented in three categories: companies, support providers, and the business ecosystem as a whole.

This overview provides an initial assessment of existing knowledge about Quebec's business ecosystem. The report identifies information gaps between Quebec's regions in order to guide research avenues and data collection for subsequent studies.

Furthermore, in the midst of the health and economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, main monitored the challenges faced by Quebec startups on a weekly basis for five weeks (March 30 to April 27, 2020).
